Mud balls

Mud balls

$540.00

Child by name, playful by nature, genius by execution. Madeleine Child’s ceramic works defy tradition and explode with colour, form, and delight. A gigantic ceramic bird ring? Of course! You simply can’t not smile at the joy of her works and wonder at the skill of how she executes them in such a clever and vibrant way.

These “Mudballs” are made via a japanese technique refered to as “Hikaru Dorodango”.The color of the finished dirt balls comes from the color of the dust or clay used to coat the outside layers of the tightly-compressed ball of mud. it requires alot of patients while the layers are compiled and polished.

$540 set of 6 balls
