Lucy is a full-time Artist based in a quiet seaside village north of Auckland, with her husband & 3 children
She is represented in both Australia & top New Zealand Galleries.
Her pieces combine acrylics & oil pastels to create intuitive abstract pieces with deep undertones, often with velvety forest greens, earthy golds & burnt umber, layered with clay pinks, turquoise & yellow ochre.
The paintings play with the idea of physical & emotional landscapes as one.
She is interested in the way colour balances each other through the composition of forms & expressive marks, in turn, the painting becomes a source of energy to a space, bringing about a sense, feeling or emotion
