Greg Swinburne
“I am part inventor, part engineer and part artist. My brain is full of ideas, and then the art takes over. The invention comes from making machines, which I engineer to help me sculpt my glass. I am lucky, as they are all things I am passionate about.”

WE LOVE…
We love that Greg looks as though he has just walked off a farm, woollen jersey and all. When talking to this gentle soul, you would never imagine he makes these stunning, sophisticated, elegant and refined sculptures that require extreme skill and patience and an artistic 3D eye. We love that juxtaposition that Greg is. ARTFORM.

After completing a diploma in Applied Arts at Northland Polytechnic, Greg Swinburne furthered his education in Whanganui UCOL with a heavy weighting in glass art due to the amazing facility of Chronicle Glass. The collaborative approach to working with other glass artists as an assistant, observing and learning to develop the skill of the artistic design approach meant that Greg was able to turn his artistic passion and his diploma into full time work.
Greg is represented in private collections around New Zealand and is often used for corporate gifts to represent New Zealand world-wide.
